There may be other colours to the breezes oft unfurled, and many another college yell by studen voices hurled; Queen's College colours are the dearest in the world. We're raising a pint to fans of the Golden Gaels. Well not just raising one; crafting it! Tri-Colour Touchdown Pale Ale is a refreshing hazy pale ale made with Hallertau Blanc and Citra hops for a slightly tropical, citrusy pre-gamer sipper with a white wine character. So, Gaels, go in and win!
What You’ll Love About It
It's a beer meant for pre-gaming: At 4.9% it rivals those sessionable lagers you're used to enjoying around game time, but the flavours from the literal boatloads of hops knock it out of the park. We taste gooseberry, orange, white wine, and victory.
How It's Made
We start with a malt bill that includes Canadian malted barley, oats, and wheat, then whirlpool and dry hop with Citra and Hallertau Blanc, finishing it with our house strain of hazy, juicy yeast. What you'll get is a soft and refreshing pale ale reminiscent of a mimosa.
Why Is It Called Tri-Colour Touchdown?
Queens' football team play their home games mere steps from our front door, and we've had a chance to get to know some of the players and the fans. Both of them wanted a flavourful hazy they could enjoy, so we gave them one. Subtly named to ensure we don't end up on the wrong side of a lawsuit.
How To Enjoy It
Before, during, or after game day, at 7-10° Celsius.

This was our second project with CFRC after another pale ale brewed just as we opened in Kingston.
