An east side collab with our friends at Kichesippi combining their love of authentic lagers with our hop obsession.
What is this beer? Why did we make it?
It started when we needed a lot of Liberty Pilsner for a surprise LCBO order, and our local maltster at Mississippi Mills recommended Kichesippi in Ottawa. A great batch of Pilsner made way for a collab talk. Their brewer was a German trained brewer specializing in lagers, and we’ve been on quite a hop kick. It didn’t take long to land on this “best of both worlds” collab that combines both our loves into one killer beer.
Why the name?
Two brewers + two dry hops = Double Dip, baby!
How did we make it?
We combined pilsner malts by Mississippi Mills in Ontario and Bestmalz in Germany. We brought the Idaho 7 and Nelson Sauvin to add to their Citra in hopes of a refreshing combo of white-skinned grapes and citrus fruit.
