A huge, hazy, and sunshine gold DIPA with a kaleidoscope of fruit flavours and aromas from Azacca, Citra Cryo, and Superdelic hops.

What You’ll Love About It

Welcome (no pun intended… or was it?) to our first Double IPA since our 1st anniversary. A blend of hype hops with old standbys, with laser precision on temps to nail both the soft and gentle mouthfeel with the cacophony of fruit flavours you're hoping for.

How It's Made

Almost 50% of this grain bill is adjuncts for a super light in colour that's as soft as can be. Low-temp whirlpooling with Azacca and Citra Cryo successfully drove out tons of fruit with very little bitterness.

Why Is It Called Welcome Lake?

The name comes from a small fishing lake in Crown logging land north of Sudbury. Getting in is hard - you have to fly in, or portage through a series of river rapids. But once inside it’s a beautiful oasis to relax and fish close to nature.

Where Did the Art Come From?

We love this label of Colonel Troutman relaxing with some fishing, lovingly provided to us by Toronto-based artist, Samuel Dae-Hyun Kim. You can find more of his quirky and fun doodles on his Instagram at @dae030.

How To Enjoy It

Don't mute all the effort we put in to those fruit flavours! 8-10° Celsius in a TeKu glass is going to maximize enjoyment.

Did You Know?

Welcome Lake is a real place, and in the year 2008 one of our founders hid a Geocache (remember Geocaching?) under the rocks on an island in the centre of one of the hardest places to get into in Ontario. See for yourself here.
