What’s It Like?

Imagine your favourite light roast coffee…
now imagine it somehow turned into a crisp, golden beer.

Right away you’ll get bright, fresh-brewed coffee on the nose, with a hint of blueberry and just a touch of grassy freshness. It looks like a classic golden Kölsch — straw-coloured, clear, and inviting  but don’t let that fool you.

The first sip?
Full light roast coffee.
Soft hazelnut running through it.
A whisper of crème brûlée sweetness.

It’s cozy but still crisp.
Coffee… but make it refreshing.

What You’ll Love About It

• Golden straw colour
• Light-bodied and effervescent
• Bright, fresh coffee aroma
• Smooth hazelnut character

How It’s Made

We built this on a clean Kölsch-style base with extra pale pilsner malt and Carafoam to keep it light, crisp, and drinkable.

Then we went big.

2 kilograms of Cooke’s Original Light Roast Blend were cold-steeped for five days  pulling out huge light roast flavour without darkening the beer or making it heavy.

A touch of hazelnut rounds everything out, pairing perfectly with the coffee’s natural brightness.

Fermented with Einstein Lager Yeast to keep the finish clean and snappy.

Brewer’s Notes

Holy house roast, indeed.

This is the beer for those last stubborn weeks of winter — when you want something cozy, but you’re not ready for a stout.

Coffee + hazelnut.
Golden, crisp, and quietly bold.
