When Ontario sweet peaches meet the mild tartness of this classic low-alc sour wheat beer, the result is our refreshing Painted Lake Peach Crisp Berliner Weisse.
What You’ll Love About It
This is a highly balanced beer - just tart enough to notice it and subtly sweet from the Ontario peaches. And at 3.8% it's light enough to enjoy any time of day.
How It's Made
We start by pitching sour cultures into our mash and letting it rest until it's just right. It's then boiled and set upon a bed of fresh Ontario peaches.
Why Is It Called Painted Lake?
Named after the lake that was paddled and painted by artist Tom Thomson before his mysterious drowning in 1917.
How To Enjoy It
At 5-8° Celsius as often as you want.
Did You Know?
That the Berliner Weisse traditionally was brewed without the addition of fruits or flavourings, but would always be served with syrups. One of the more popular - Woodruff - tastes oddly like the cereal bits in Lucky Charms!
